Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity

Blatchford, a global leader in prosthetic technology and mobility solutions, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our production site in Basingstoke. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing specialist engineering support involving machining processes and process control for new and existing components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating programs to provide stable and robust engineering processes in a medium volume environment.
  • Designing all work holding and fixtures required for the production processes, modelling and detailing drawings using CAD software.
  • Creating and releasing manufacturing routings in the ERP system.
  • Supporting production department with machine stoppages and tooling issues.
  • Programming, setting, and operating various simultaneous 5 axis (Inc Axis CNC milling machines.
  • Liaising with Quality control department reviewing component tolerance data and highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Supporting in the creation of Inspection reports.
  • Creating manufacturing stage drawings for internal processes using CAD software.
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC programming techniques, CAD / CAM, jig and tool design.
  • SolidCAM and SolidWorks experience would be preferential.
  • Experience of setting up equipment and CNC processes.
