Electrical Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Highdown, a category C male prison, as an Electrical Supervisor. This role is part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, responsible for the smooth and safe operation of the prison.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Electricians and General Maintenance staff in the delivery of electrical services.
  • Coordinate and direct third-party contractors and employees to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and risk management procedures.
  • Develop and implement plans for electrical infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operation of the prison.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years' experience as an Electrician, preferably in an FM environment or secure setting.
  • Qualifications equivalent to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical or building service systems.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge and excellent organisational, time management, and people skills.
