Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Waking Nights Support Worker to join our team at a children's residential home in Normanton. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nightly tasks such as personal care routines, including getting residents ready for bed and assisting with morning routines.
- Support residents in developing independent life skills, such as cooking and personal hygiene.
- Safeguard the residents at all times, maintaining a secure and stable environment.
- Accurately record and maintain resident records, ensuring up-to-date information is available at all times.
Requirements
- Recent experience working in a children's residential setting, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by vulnerable young people.
- Relevant professional qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3, or a willingness to work towards achieving this.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- A valid driving license, with a flexible approach to working hours and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
