About the Role
We are seeking an experienced GP Assistant to join our team at Birtle View Medical Practice. As a GP Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of our clinics, freeing up time for our GPs to focus on patient care.
Main Responsibilities
- Extracting information from clinical letters and adding it to patient notes
- Arranging appointments, referrals, and tests for patients
- Performing routine clinical tasks, such as taking blood pressure and phlebotomy
- Completing basic forms and core elements of some forms for the GP to approve and sign
- Supporting the GP in liaising with external agencies and contacting on-call doctors for advice

Person Specification
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience working in General Practice
- Experience working with EMIS Web and Docman
- An understanding of patient confidentiality
Desirable Qualifications
We would also consider candidates with:
- Trained and certified in Phlebotomy
- Experience of taking blood pressure readings
