Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Services Engineer to join our team at Premier Foods in Barnsley. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our site's facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement maintenance activities to minimize disruption to manufacturing and site operations.
  • Support the engineering and manufacturing functions to achieve optimal line efficiency and compliance with company policies.
  • Personally demonstrate safe behavior and take responsibility for the health and safety of staff and contractors.
  • Provide proactive engineering support services to the site based on skill, experience, and initiative.
  • Communicate daily with the Facilities Team Manager to ensure planned maintenance, engineering, and production priorities are considered.
  • Liaise with the Team Manager daily to ensure priorities are clear, understood, and communicated, ensuring optimum customer service in terms of quality, quantity, and punctuality.

Requirements

  • Multi-skilled with an electrical bias.
  • Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC, or equivalent qualification in engineering.
  • Practical knowledge of CI tools and techniques.
  • A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic technical manuals and drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • IT literate.
  • Able to take own initiative and is solutions-focused.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Working Hours

Rotating shifts: Week 1 - 6am-2pm, Week 2 - 8am-4pm. Early finish on a Friday. 1 weekend work in 7 - 4 hours Saturday and Sunday.
