Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Catch22 is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our students, helping them to achieve their full potential.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our teachers to deliver high-quality education to our students. You will be responsible for supporting students in the classroom, assisting with lesson planning, and providing individualized support to students who require extra help.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support students in the classroom, providing individualized attention and assistance as needed
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparing materials and resources for teaching staff
  • Provide support to students with special educational needs, including those with language difficulties or complex needs
  • Work with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being among students
Requirements
  • A Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (minimum)
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements for health and safety, SEN, and child safeguarding
  • Ability to work independently with groups or individual students, supported by the teacher
  • Ability to work with challenging students, understanding their needs and demonstrating effective behaviour management strategies
  • Experience of working at an advanced level with the teacher, in planning and delivering teaching activities
