About the Role

CBSbutler is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer to join our team as a Weights Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and carrying out engineering tasks within your span of responsibility, ensuring the technical content of your work is acceptable to your line manager, and promoting the best interests of the team, department, and company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Tasks: Define and carry out engineering tasks within your span of responsibility, ensuring the technical content of your work is acceptable to your line manager.
  • Work Planning: Agree your work plan with your line manager and apply the most efficient engineering methods available.
  • Team Collaboration: Ensure effective interactions with your team, customers, and others to promote the best interests of the team, department, and company.
  • Process Improvement: Provide efficiency and effectiveness suggestions for the development of Weights Engineering toolsets and processes within the discipline capability development framework.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft structure and systems Weights Engineering processes and methods, including early lifecycle weight, centre of gravity, and inertia property assessment, and the management of weight targets.
  • Education: Degree/HND/HNC in a STEM subject or equivalent professional qualifications in terms of formal education.
  • Experience: Relevant experience working within a Weights Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Airframe related discipline.
  • Leadership: Previous experience of managing staff would be advantageous.
