Weights Engineer - Aerospace

Location: On-site at our Warton facility

Salary: £45,000 - £52,400, depending on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement engineering tasks within your scope of responsibility, ensuring effective management of subordinate staff.
  2. Collaborate with your line manager to establish and execute work plans, leveraging efficient engineering methods.
  3. Ensure the technical quality of your work and that of your team, including deliverables, meets the expectations of your line manager.
  4. Foster strong relationships with your team, customers, and stakeholders to drive the best interests of the team, department, and company.
  5. Contribute to the development of Weights Engineering toolsets and processes within the discipline capability development framework.

Requirements:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft structure and systems Weights Engineering processes and methods, including early lifecycle weight, centre of gravity, and inertia property assessment.
  2. Degree/HND/HNC in a STEM subject or equivalent professional qualifications in terms of formal education.
  3. Relevant experience working within a Weights Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Airframe related discipline.
  4. Previous experience of managing staff would be advantageous.
