About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Kedleston Group team and shape our brand new provision in the heart of London.
We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational School Cook to work at Mapesbury school. The successful candidate will have a passion for quality produce and nutritional development to run our school kitchen.
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to transform our school lunch provision to provide fresh, tasty, exciting and nutritious food for our children, staff and the local community.
The School Cook will be responsible for training and upskilling a small team of kitchen staff and developing a food led curriculum to be delivered to our children.
We understand that good food can have a huge impact on a child's development, learning and their future health – we need you to educate the children so that they learn where their food comes from and how to make healthy choices.
The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to shape and deliver an entirely new vision for school food at Mapesbury School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a nutritionally balanced menu for the school
- Train and upskill kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation
- Develop a food led curriculum to be delivered to our children
- Work effectively to a budget to ensure the school kitchen operates efficiently
