Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing operations within the care home to achieve or exceed goals while maintaining high-quality care standards.
  • Oversee the care staff and assume full management responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager.
  • Train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Home Manager to conduct pre-admission assessments of residents, ensuring that each resident's care plan and daily records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Foster effective communication with residents' families and other organizations, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for all.
Requirements
  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide exceptional care services.
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external care professionals, families, and staff.
  • Ability to promote ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care plans.
