We are seeking a talented customer care professional to join Blind Veterans UK on a permanent, full-time basis. As a Customer Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent support to individuals contacting our organisation for advice and assistance.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as a customer care specialist in a dynamic and inclusive environment. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service through phone calls, emails, letters, and social media queries;
  • Supporting individuals with applications to join our organisation and processing donations;
  • Ensuring that all supporters are thanked and enquires responded to;
  • Maintaining and creating personal and financial data, ensuring its security and confidentiality;
  • Liaising with ophthalmic secretaries to ensure applicants meet Blind Veteran UK eligibility;
About You

To succeed as a Customer Care Assistant, you will need:

  • Experience in handling customer queries and complaints;
  • A working knowledge of GDPR, PCI compliance, Direct Debit guarantee, Fundraising standards/codes, Voluntary Sector regulations, and HMRC regulations;
  • A meticulous approach to transaction recording and audit trail;
  • Excellent administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
