Job Summary:

A highly experienced Risk Management professional is required to lead credit strategy for the Insurance, Pensions & Investments business. The successful candidate will oversee credit risk decisioning and maintain the credit risk strategy, ensuring alignment with Group Risk Appetites.

About the Role:

This is a senior leadership position responsible for leading credit risk management activities across the IP&I division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in credit risk management, risk governance, and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead credit risk decisioning for IP&I, overseeing the credit risk taking activity of the division.
  • Maintain the credit risk strategy for IP&I, conducting oversight and providing assurance of 1LOD activities.
  • Be the IP&I Risk subject lead for credit risk, educating colleagues on the topic.
  • Ensure all IP&I Division related credit policies, procedures, and methodologies are appropriate and aligned with Group Risk Appetites.
Key Capabilities:
  • Expert knowledge of Solvency UK and CRA equivalent rating models.
  • Proven technical experience/understanding of Group Reportable Balances (e.g., Shareholder Assets).
  • Effective relationship management, delivering successful business partnering.
  • Ability to recognise and deliver the changing skills required for the Risk function of the future.
