Risk Underwriter Position

A leading provider of commercial insurance services is looking for a highly skilled Risk Underwriter to join their team in East Anglia.

This role involves evaluating and underwriting various commercial risks, focusing on new and renewal business. Collaborating with brokers is vital to create competitive insurance solutions that align with the company's risk appetite and satisfy client needs.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge, be commercially astute, and demonstrate exceptional relationship-building skills. This position also offers flexibility to work remotely from home.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess and underwrite risks for new and existing clients in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Negotiate terms with brokers to secure and retain business.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with brokers.
  • Analyze market trends to ensure competitive and profitable underwriting decisions.

Estimated annual salary: £60,000 - £80,000.

Requirements:
  • Significant experience within underwriting of commercial insurance; property/casualty classes.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
