Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks

Sunbury Common, Surrey

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Commercial Team to ensure effective working and communications
  • Administer construction contracts, including tendering, reviews, negotiations, and contract management
  • Assist with workforce oversight, subcontractor deployment, and time-keeping
  • Meet with subcontractors throughout the works and approve stage payments, including accurate take-offs and measurements
  • Evaluate and process change orders
  • Generate regular cost reports and forecasts to provide the Construction Manager and Directors with up-to-date financial information
  • Maintain accurate records of all cost-related documents, contracts, invoices, payments, and correspondence
  • Communicate effectively with the wider team
  • Support and seek best values in other areas of the business, advising and assisting where needed
Requirements:
  • HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related subject
  • Experience in the Groundworks/Civils sector is desirable
  • Self-motivated, friendly, sociable, and driven
  • Full driving license
  • Commercially aware
  • Self-motivated personality
  • Attention to detail with a right-first-time attitude
  • Organisation and time management skills
