Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Transaction Oversight: Maintain oversight of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while staying up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements.
  2. Monthly Reporting: Prepare detailed P&L statements, manage month-end processes, and submit VAT and FCA returns, meeting deadlines and achieving high standards.
  3. Cash Flow Monitoring: Provide regular cash flow summaries to ensure financial stability, informing strategic decisions and driving business success.
  4. Financial Analysis: Support business decisions with comprehensive financial analysis, including tenders, acquisitions, and budgeting, using expertise to inform strategic planning.
  5. Payment Authorisation: Authorise payments, oversee credit control, and ensure settlements comply with agreements and regulations, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  6. Auditor Liaison: Serve as primary contact for auditors, accountants, and bankers, ensuring compliance with FCA guidelines and fostering positive working relationships.
  7. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting productivity, adhering to processes, and fostering a positive work environment.
Requirements for Success:
  1. Professional Qualifications: Possess part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA status, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial management principles.
  2. Financial Management Experience: Showcase strong experience in financial management, particularly in an FCA regulated environment, highlighting expertise in financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  3. Financial Knowledge: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of financial reporting, audits, and FCA regulations, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  4. Accounting Expertise: Possess experience with month-end and year-end accounts, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial reports.
  5. Sage Software Experience: Be familiar with Sage software, preferably Sage Intacct, leveraging technology to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
  6. Problem-Solving Skills: Exhibit a calm and collected approach under pressure, using analytical skills to resolve complex financial issues.
