- We are pleased to be working with our client, an established and successful business who value their people, to recruit a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their finance team.- The role includes full responsibility for the management of the sales ledger, including invoice processing and credit control. You will be confident, analytical with good interpersonal skills and self-motivated.**Duties**:

- Day to day responsibility for the credit control function of the business, ensuring all customer credit limits are approved and debt is paid to agreed terms.
- Monthly debtor reporting with commentary for Finance Director.
- Running the daily invoicing process.
- Raising credits notes and adhoc invoices.
- Daily cash allocations and journals.
- Respond to and resolve customer queries in a timely manner.
- Calculate foreign exchange impact of sales.
- Provide weekly aged debt reporting.
- Manage invoice queries through business to ensure debt is paid to terms.
- Weekly cash flow forecast.
- Managing invoicing and payments through customer EDI portals.
- Upload data onto stakeholder’s portals, complete monthly reconciliations of accounts to their portals.
- Responsibility for month-end/year-end closing of Sales Ledger
- Assist with audit requirements.
- Control petty cash function for the business. Adhoc responsibilities**Essential Skills**:

- Previous Sales Ledger experience
- Able to work to deadlines, with good time management and organisational skills
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships
- Flexible approach and willing to work additional hours when the job requires
- Strong system skills, Excel, EDI etc., experience of Sage 1000 is desirable Excellent attention to detail**Benefits**:
