Job Overview

CAMO Support Service Manager

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) activities for the Royal Air Force fleet of 22 A400M aircraft. This role involves working closely with the military customer to ensure that all maintenance operations are conducted efficiently and effectively, supporting the RAFs critical defence output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage comprehensive maintenance plans for aircraft, ensuring all necessary inspections, repairs, and overhauls are planned and executed in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with wider Airbus service teams to ensure information is delivered to key departments to support Airbus delivery of the performance base service.
  • Work closely with RAF personnel to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with military requirements and operational readiness.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance planners, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
About You
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance planning, with a strong preference for experience in military aviation environments.
  • In-depth understanding of military aviation regulations, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with military aircraft and defence operations.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
