Product Assurance Manager

As a Product Assurance Manager at Spire Global, Inc., you will be responsible for driving product quality to meet the necessary standards. You will have the opportunity to shape the PA processes and practices as we develop in this area.
The incumbent will ensure the implementation of all Product Assurance tasks on institutional projects for the assigned perimeter (project or sub-system). This includes:
- Ensuring compliance to project requirements or documenting and justifying deviations.
- Setting the PA strategy and process implementation for Spire.
- Ensuring project activities are carried out in compliance with the Company Quality Management System, applicable Standards, and Regulations.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate interfaces with the Customer Quality representative for all relevant PA matters.
- Driving and owning the definition of reliability, dependability, and safety analysis requirements drawn from the customer specification.
- Interfacing with the Project Management team for all relevant PA matters.
- Establishing the Project PA Plan (if applicable) in accordance with the PA requirements and ensuring it is correctly implemented throughout the Project.
- Ensuring Non-Conformities are managed according to applicable requirements and processes internally and within suppliers, ensuring proper visibility to the Customer.
- Coordinating the activities of the Project Quality team, ensuring the PA Plan is correctly flowed down at all levels, internally and towards external suppliers.
- Preparing selected Quality documents under their responsibility and verifying/approving other project Quality documents.
- Ensuring a proper reporting of Quality aspects towards the Customer, the PMO, and the management.
- Controlling technology validations and hardware and component qualification according to the Development Plan.
- Ensuring participation in (internal and Customer) Project meetings and reviews as relevant, providing Quality contribution whenever necessary.
- Ensuring lessons learnt are formalized, capitalized, and promoted.
- Ensuring all Risk Management processes are well executed and providing proactive contributions.
- Ensuring continuous improvement processes are in place and implemented.
Main Interfaces:
- Spire Program Manager and PMO team
- Spire
- Customer PA Manager and Project team
- QA representatives of suppliers and partners, as applicable
Required Experiences and Skills:
- 5 years' experience in the Space Domain
- 7 years in Quality (preferably as Project/Product PA)
- Knowledge of ECSS
- Fluency in English
- Very good communication and negotiation skills
- Capability to effectively coordinate and delegate
- Proactivity, open-mindedness
Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in office.
Access to US export-controlled software and/or technology may be required.
