Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our small engineering team at Yorkshire Coast Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the reliable operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs on a proactive/reactive basis.
  • Process optimisation to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Implement equipment reliability improvements and develop new maintenance workflow methods and techniques.
  • Manage own workflow to remain within maintenance budget.
  • Ensure availability of critical spares.
  • Oversee projects when required.
Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture.
  • Post apprenticeship experience.
  • Electro-Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant. Includes pneumatic and hydraulics.
  • Carrying out Preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Some working at heights will be required.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate and accomplish multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, able to provide detailed shift reports.
  • A high drive and energy level, can-do attitude, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently.
  • Be flexible, adjust shifts to cover another engineer's holiday.
  • Prepared to participate in training and development.
  • Ensure all planned and routine maintenance are carried out and documented on the CMMS.
  • Technical school higher qualification (NVQ) or bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge with relevant hands on experience.
  • Electrical qualification.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and fault-finding skills.
  • PC literate, competent computer skills.
  • Proven continuous improvement skills.
