Engineering Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join our team at DSM. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food processing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks on food processing equipment, including low-voltage to 415v 3-phase and control wiring.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a Maintenance Plan of Work for the plant.
- Undertake planned and preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Administer the purchasing and stock control of engineering parts and spares.
- Implement and maintain current Health and Safety procedures and contribute to the development of new procedures.
Requirements:
- Logical and forward-thinking with effective decision-making skills.
- Practical problem-solving skills with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Multi-skilled with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
