About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join our team at DSM. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks on food processing equipment, including low-voltage to 415v 3-phase and control wiring.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a Maintenance Plan of Work for the plant.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Administer the purchasing and stock control of engineering parts and spares.
  • Implement and maintain current Health and Safety procedures and contribute to the development of new procedures.

Requirements:

  • Logical and forward-thinking with effective decision-making skills.
  • Practical problem-solving skills with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Multi-skilled with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
