Job Title: Treasury Sales Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Treasury Sales Specialist to join our team at Investec. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for acquiring and developing new client relationships within our Corporate Treasury business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads through campaigns, events, and networking to convert into new clients.
  • Visit generated leads with the intention of acquiring their business and tailor the conversation and value proposition to the company's relevant industry, business contact, and decision maker.
  • Ensure new business is only acquired within a defined territory and through clients that add to the quality of the book and not merely the quantity.
  • Build strong internal relationships with dealers, credit officers, compliance, and AML officers to promote the 'One Bank' Ethos.
  • Attend and participate in monthly training sessions to improve product knowledge and attend weekly pipeline reports to their Team Leader.

Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience with a genuine desire to learn and understand our various treasury and hedging products, our sales proposition, the FX markets, and the end-to-end dealing process.
  • Highly articulate with great communication skills to ensure that our products and value proposition are made relevant and straightforward to our clients.
  • Confident, proactive, and diligent with a passion for building relationships and a drive and determination to meet or exceed all targets set.
