Job Opportunity:

GSL Education - Chelmsford is seeking a highly motivated and caring Teaching Support Specialist to join our team. About the Role:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs, focusing on behaviour management and academic development.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individualised support plans that meet the unique needs of our students.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes collaboration and respect among students, teachers, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess student needs and develop targeted interventions to promote academic success and personal growth.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to address specific student needs and promote positive relationships with peers and staff.
  • Provide regular progress updates to teaching staff and parents/carers, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or equivalent role, preferably in 1:1 SEN support.
  • Strong initiative and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with the teaching team.
