We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Social Care Practitioner to join our team at Yonder. As a Senior Social Care Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care and support to children and young people in our residential home.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in working in children's residential care and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent. They will be knowledgeable about children's rights, adolescent mental health, and therapeutic approaches, including trauma-informed practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people, promoting their growth and development.
  • Establish trusting relationships with children, enabling them to reach their full potential.
  • Organize and participate in activities that foster children's wellbeing, learning, and growth.
  • Support children in achieving their educational goals by working directly with them and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure the health and safety of children.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, identifying and reporting any risk of harm or child protection concerns.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of up to £33,000 per annum (£14.42/hour) and a sleep rate of £60.
  • A full-time, permanent position with a 1 on, 2 off shift pattern (average 10 shifts/month) or 2 on, 4 off shift pattern (average 5 shifts/month).
