Merton Assessment Specialist

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced social worker to join their Assessment & Intervention Team in Merton.
Job DescriptionThis permanent position offers a salary of up to £45,834 per annum. The successful candidate will be responsible for working directly with children, young people, and families using Merton's Relationship-based practice model and a range of Signs of Safety and systemic social work tools and approaches.
Main Duties- Work with Children and Families: Build and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, families, and carers to offer containment and create conditions for change.
- Develop Reports: Prepare, provide, and explain written reports and plans to children, families, carers, and professionals in various settings.
- Provide Support: Work alongside children, young people, parents, and families experiencing or at risk of experiencing social, emotional, health, or behavioural issues.
- Assess and Intervene: Assess and intervene in situations where children, young people, families, and carers require support.
- Supervise and Mentor: Provide group supervision, individual supervision, appraisal, and mentoring of colleagues as required.
- Maintain Records: Maintain up-to-date records and data using electronic devices and systems, providing reports for various audiences as needed.
- A social work qualification or equivalent.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registration.
