Primary Academy Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team in Dewsbury on a full-time, long-term basis.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality support to KS2 pupils in small group interventions, focusing on key subject areas and developing skills in collaboration with the class teacher.
  • Deliver targeted phonics interventions using the RWI scheme for KS1 pupils on a 1:1 basis, promoting academic progress and reaching milestones.
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and adapt learning plans, taking into account individual pupil needs and contributing to the ongoing improvement of intervention strategies.
  • Ensure seamless support and effective delivery of lessons by collaborating with teachers and maintaining open communication channels.
Essential Requirements:
  • Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent (Level 4 or above), demonstrating a solid grasp of educational principles and best practices.
  • Bring previous experience supporting KS1 and KS2 pupils in a primary school setting, showcasing expertise in teaching and learning methodologies.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of phonics and the Read Write Inc. scheme, allowing for effective intervention and support.
Remuneration and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated at £24,907 - £30,451 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including access to over 100+ CPD Courses.
