About the Position

We are hiring an experienced Test Engineer to join our international team at TÜV Rheinland UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing all aspects of regulatory compliance testing and reporting on client products using EN/UL/CSA & SEMI standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet test objectives by determining testing methods and selecting testing equipment, ensuring customer test criteria is correctly interpreted and applied.
  • Perform tests for certification of equipment to applicable domestic or international regulatory standards and advise customers of non-compliance.
  • Develop test strategies and test plans to verify standards, compatibility, functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Validate proper design and operations of product features as defined by functional specifications.
  • Report and track defects found during testing, record test data, technical information, and other details, and generate and revise test documents and reports.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, participate in and promote process improvement.
  • Participate in creating and evaluating new product test requirements and test strategies, and liaise with other global laboratories to ensure consistency and accuracy of methods and interpretations.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills; verbal, written, and active listening skills, solid technical writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and effectively work with external and internal project teams.
  • Strong engineering knowledge, understanding of testing requirements, manufacturing processes, drawings, and standards.
  • Knowledge of EN and international regulatory standards and approval requirements.
  • Knowledge of Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
  • Ability to travel to client sites, including mainland Europe, valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks while meeting or exceeding deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent technical education and directly-related experience.
  • Regulatory Testing training.
