Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team at TÜV Rheinland. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for completing all aspects of regulatory compliance testing and reporting on client products using EN/UL/CSA & SEMI standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet test objectives by determining testing methods and selecting testing equipment.
  • Perform tests for certification of equipment to applicable domestic or international regulatory standards and advise customers of non-compliance.
  • Develop test strategies and test plans to verify standards, compatibility, functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Validate proper design and operations of product features as defined by functional specifications.
  • Report and track defects found during testing.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written, and active listening skills, solid technical writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and effectively work with external and internal project teams.
  • Strong engineering knowledge, understanding of testing requirements, manufacturing processes, drawings, and standards.
  • Knowledge of EN and international regulatory standards and approval requirements.
  • Ability to travel to client sites, including mainland Europe, and valid driver's license required.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent technical education and directly-related experience.
  • Regulatory Testing training.
  • A minimum of 3 years of directly-related test experience evaluating products in accordance with regulatory standards.
