Job Description:

As a Hospice Care Assistant, you will work closely with qualified nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care and provide emotional support to patients and their loved ones. Your basic understanding of holistic needs will enable you to provide comprehensive care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting qualified nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care
  • Assisting with daily tasks, such as personal care and medication management
  • Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in a care setting, preferably in a hospice or palliative care environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations
  • Basic understanding of holistic needs and patient-centered care principles

Estimated Salary: £26,800 - £30,400 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This includes pro-rata payments for bank holidays, Saturdays, Sundays, and nights. The starting salary will be based on your experience and/or qualifications.
