We are seeking a highly skilled Standards Design Manager to join our team at NatWest Group. As a key member of our Financial Crime function, you will play a vital role in driving a generative culture of risk awareness and recommending solutions to financial crime risk issues within our businesses.

In this specialist capacity, you will partner with the business, products, and Risk function to identify, assess, and manage risks within agreed risk appetite, using our bank's risk framework. You will also be responsible for delivering a robust risk governance framework in line with our operational risk handbook and conduct and compliance handbook.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing new standards, including creating strategic standards for all financial crime risk typologies for bank-wide operational execution and assurance across the three lines of defence that mitigate risk efficiently and effectively.

You will also need excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience of successfully engaging with stakeholders to deliver initiatives.

Additionally, you will need knowledge of financial crime processes, systems, policies, and regulations across multiple disciplines, specialising in AML or counter-terrorism financing, politically exposed people and exits. Experience of working within approved governance to ensure changes to existing documented procedures are compliant with policy and regulatory requirements is also essential.

We offer a fast-paced and varied role with a firm emphasis on your development. You will work from home some of the time, but also spend a significant amount of time working from an office or hub a minimum of 2 days per week.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about risk awareness and has a strong understanding of financial crime processes and regulations. If you are a motivated and experienced professional looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
