Senior Block Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Block Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of residential blocks in North London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that properties are maintained to the highest standards while providing exceptional customer service to residents and stakeholders.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of residential blocks, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and legal requirements. This includes overseeing property maintenance and repair works, organizing and managing service contracts, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers.

Additionally, the Senior Block Manager will be responsible for preparing and managing service charge budgets, keeping accurate records of expenditures, conducting regular property inspections, and handling resident inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Certification in Block Management (e.g., TPI, IRPM or ARMA accreditation)
  • Proven experience in managing residential properties or blocks
  • Strong understanding of property management legislation, including health and safety, and leasehold regulations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Proficient in property management software and general IT skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Liaising with Stakeholders

The Senior Block Manager will also be responsible for liaising with freeholders, leaseholders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth property operations. This includes keeping up to date with legislation affecting property management, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.
