Job Title: Occupational Therapist

At 5 Star Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to service users with complex care and therapy needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial assessments of service users to identify their needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Support service users to set and achieve goals that promote independence and wellbeing in their home environment.
  • Assess and provide equipment to improve independence with activities of daily living and reduce risk of injury.
  • Manage a caseload effectively, utilizing prioritization, delegation, and time management skills to ensure efficient throughput of service users.
  • Identify service users who may require Continuing Health Care to manage complex health needs.
  • Recognize and report Safeguarding concerns, completing thorough risk assessments and referring to relevant services as necessary.
  • Assess capacity and ability to make informed decisions related to the assessment process.
  • Ensure cost-effective service provision and recommend specialist equipment and adaptations in accordance with eligibility criteria and departmental guidelines.
  • Complete carers assessments to support informal carers in their role and manage risk of carer breakdown.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and written reports using councils IT systems.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across services and with external agencies.
  • Provide guidance and information concerning Occupational Therapy service provision to other agencies.
  • Participate in the professional development of OT Assistants and other junior team members.

Salary Expectations: Regular Pay: £31.99/Hour, Weekends: £46.50/Hour, Unsociable Hours: £41.23/Hour, Overtime: £41.23/Hour, Nights: £25.42/Hour
