Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' motor skills, sensory function, physical functioning, cognitive abilities, and affective state.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide hands-on therapy interventions to improve patients' functional independence in areas such as mobility, dressing, bathing, and meal preparation.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on strategies to manage their conditions and promote self-care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in specialized areas such as seating and postural management, upper limb assessment and treatment, energy conservation techniques, cognitive assessment and treatment, and capacity assessment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current best practices in occupational therapy.
