Unlock Your Potential as a Swimming Instructor

Stepping Stones, a leading private learn-to-swim provider in Scotland, is seeking Newly Qualified Teachers to join our team. As a Newly Qualified Teacher, you will be immersed in a supportive environment, allowing you opportunities to shadow experienced instructors and gain hands-on experience and build your confidence as a swimming instructor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a comprehensive mentoring and shadowing program to develop teaching skills and confidence
  • Assist in the safe delivery of swimming lessons following the Stepping Stones framework
  • Support the progression and development of each swimmer through the Stepping Stones framework
  • Engage with the assessment of swimmers for the awards program twice per year
  • Provide feedback to the Stepping Stones office as required

Requirements:

  • National Governing Body Swimming Teacher Certificate (Essential)
  • Passion for learning and professional development
  • Desirable NRASTC or NPLQ qualification but not essential
