Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join our team at St George's University of London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and running of paediatric vaccine trials and other infectious disease studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and run paediatric vaccine trials and other infectious disease studies
  • Prepare and submit ethics and grant applications
  • Work with a strong interest in paediatric infectious diseases, vaccinology, community paediatrics or public health
  • Develop funding applications for further research in these areas

About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a research fellow to take part in the wide range of ongoing paediatric research activity. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and running of the vaccine trials and other paediatric infectious disease studies. This may include the preparation and submission of ethics and grant applications. The post holder will have a strong interest in paediatric infectious diseases, vaccinology, community paediatrics or public health. It is anticipated that during this 12 month period the individual will, if they wish, and with support, work up funding applications to allow further, more detailed research focussing on any one of these areas, which can then lead to a higher degree.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have a strong interest in paediatric infectious diseases, vaccinology, community paediatrics or public health. A higher degree in a relevant field would be an advantage.
