Job Title: Front of House Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front of House Assistant to join our team at Sky The Dining Room.

Job Purpose:

To provide exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and ensure accurate use of tills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve food and beverages to the highest standard, using correct tools and presentation techniques.
  • Prepare and serve beverages in a timely manner, adhering to CH&CO standards.
  • Assist with food preparation in the kitchen, adhering to CH&CO standards.
  • Set up service counters and maintain service areas, ensuring cleanliness and presentation.
  • Clean and wash up equipment, kitchen, and service areas, adhering to cleaning schedules.
  • Under the guidance of the GM/AGM, ensure merchandising at service counters and dining areas is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Work with colleagues to maintain food availability during service periods.
  • Assist with cashing up procedures and handle till and cash sales accurately.
  • Prepare and serve beverages in a timely manner, adhering to CH&CO standards.
  • Ensure service counters and dining areas display appropriate merchandising, under the guidance of the General Manager.
  • Assist with the preparation of tables and ensure all cutlery and glassware is polished.
  • Report any losses of stock/cash to the General Manager.
Customer Service:
  • Present a professional and friendly image with clients and customers.
  • Attend to customer needs in a polite and helpful manner, providing assistance where necessary.
  • Provide information to customers about food and make recommendations.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Accurately and efficiently handle all transactions and assist with cashing up procedures.
Health & Safety:
  • Understand and comply with CH&CO and statutory health, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Wear the correct uniform and safety shoes as directed and maintain uniform items appropriately.
  • Report any equipment and/or building fabric faults and any hygiene, health, and safety hazards to the GM/AGM.
Occasional Responsibilities:
  • Attend training courses and CH&CO meetings when necessary.
  • Assist with monthly stock take as directed.
