Job Description

">

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Risk Specialist to join our dynamic team.

">

As a key member of our multi-disciplinary professional team, you will lead the engineering assessment of technical risks, utilising your expert knowledge of NHBC Standards, Building Regulations, and relevant codes and standards.

">

Your focus will be on complex, high-risk, and high-value new build and conversion projects in London, with potential involvement in other major urban areas as needed.

">

You will assist in managing the Major Projects team, providing critical management information, and supporting the broader team objectives.

">

You will also play a vital role in promoting NHBC's business goals, managing customer relationships, and contributing to the acquisition and retention of major customers and large, complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. ">
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of technical risks associated with complex, high-risk, and high-value new build and conversion projects.">
  3. Collaborate with other NHBC engineering specialists to ensure comprehensive risk assessments.">
  4. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate technical risks and ensure compliance with NHBC Standards, Building Regulations, and codes and standards.">

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A degree related to Building, Construction or Engineering would be of an advantage or equivalent qualification.">
  • Extensive Engineering experience across a mixture of building types.">
  • Full driving licence.">
  • IT literate with the ability to use a range of software programs.">
  • Able to work with minimum of supervision in line with established policies and procedures.">
  • Thorough knowledge of ground conditions and ground investigation techniques with regard to building structures.">
  • Advanced knowledge of NHBC SOPs relevant to Engineering.">
  • Proven ability to make pragmatic and value decisions on compliance with Building Regulations and NHBC standards.">
