We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our Radiology Nursing team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Main Responsibilities
As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing expert nursing care to patients undergoing various imaging procedures, including ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and plain film x-ray.
- Working collaboratively with our Clinical Nurse Educator to develop and implement evidence-based practice and education programs.
- Participating in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective care.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of our department's quality and safety standards.
- Providing education and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A registered nurse qualification and current registration with the NMC.
- Recent experience of nursing in an acute hospital environment, preferably in a radiology or imaging department.
- Knowledge and experience of relevant specialities, including radiology and imaging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to further develop your knowledge and skills.
