About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Culinary Assistant to join our team at Chartwells Schools. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals to the highest standards, ensuring they are safe and appetizing for our students.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation, including food handling, portioning, and presentation.
- Work effectively as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene procedures, maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and school holidays, as required.
