Location: Willow Park School, Milton Keynes

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Maths to join our thriving specialist SEMH School. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the running of the mathematics department and ensuring that it contributes to the school's overall success.

You will be a qualified teacher of mathematics with a few years' experience, ideally in a specialist or mainstream setting. Experience within an SEMH/SEN specialist provision would be desirable, but we are happy to consider applications from those who are currently working in a mainstream or college setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage classes effectively, using approaches that are appropriate to pupils' needs to motivate them.
  • Teach mathematics at KS3 and/or KS4 in a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • Develop and implement effective mathematics curriculum plans that meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of pupils, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that the mathematics department is a positive and supportive learning environment.
