Job Description

Blackfield Associates is delighted to partner with a Pharmaceutical Client to recruit a Medical Director to lead their UK Affiliate for the Medical Affairs department.

This is a growth opportunity within an established team, offering the successful candidate the chance to:

  • Work across multiple therapy areas
  • Play a pivotal role in multiple upcoming product launches
  • Work across an exciting product portfolio
  • Be either an individual contributor or team leader

The ideal candidate will hold a medical or pharmacy degree (e.g., MD, PharmD) and be a UK registered medical practitioner or a UK registered pharmacist (or capable of UK GMC registration without any additional examinations). Additionally, they should be an accredited and experienced ABPI signatory with a strong understanding of the UK and EU pharmaceutical regulatory environment (ABPI, PMCPA, EFPIA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Medical Affairs department in the UK Affiliate
  • Develop and implement medical strategies to support product launches
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Requirements:

  • Medical or pharmacy degree (e.g., MD, PharmD)
