Role Responsibilities

As a Property Estates Surveyor, you'll be responsible for:

  • Overseeing day-to-day estate management matters on freehold and leasehold industrial and commercial property
  • Negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews with landlords and their agents to achieve the best possible return
  • Optimising rental income generated by Tarmac's land portfolio
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and approving property-related costs, including rents and maintenance costs
  • Instructing and managing external consultants and agents

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven knowledge and experience of industrial and commercial property ownership and occupation in the UK, including landlord and tenant legislation
  • Industrial and commercial property market agency in the UK
  • Negotiation of rent reviews, lease renewals, and general estate management matters
  • Mineral and energy-related property experience is of interest, but not essential
