Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rural Chartered Surveyor to join our team at Rose & Young Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will take a leading role on existing and new projects, working closely with the Rural Team to develop and promote our services.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a RICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor to support our expanding Rural Department in all aspects of professional work, including:
- Diversification and Planning: Providing expert advice on land use and development opportunities
- Estate and Property Management: Managing rural estates and properties, including agricultural land and buildings
- Valuations, Taxation and Succession Planning: Conducting valuations, providing tax advice, and assisting with succession planning for rural estates
- Landlord and Tenant, Farm Business Tenancies, Grazing Licences and Contract Farming Agreements: Negotiating and drafting agreements for rural land use and management
- Advising clients on Agri-environmental Schemes and Grants: Helping clients access funding and support for environmental initiatives
- Land and Property Sales, and Acquisitions: Assisting with the sale and purchase of rural properties and land
- Utility and Infrastructure Compensation Claims: Representing clients in claims for compensation related to utility and infrastructure projects
- Renewable Energy: Providing advice on renewable energy opportunities and projects
Key Requirements:
- RICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor with at least 2 years PQE
- Registered Valuer and FAAV, preferred but not essential
- Commercially astute with a strong understanding of business targets and their impact on the practice
- Commitment to providing an excellent standard of client care
- IT literate with experience of using a web-based case management system
- Pro-active and business-minded
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work well on your own and as part of a team
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages
