Locum Consultant in Anaesthesia (Generalist)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced anaesthetist to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients, working closely with other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

The Epsom & St Helier Anaesthetic department is aligned with the St George's Hospital teaching programme for medical students and the SW Thames School of Anaesthesia training programme.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • At least seven years anaesthetic experience at senior level

Desirable Criteria

  • EPALS / APLS training
  • CCT/CESR in Anaesthesia or eligible for specialist registration within six months of interview

Clinical Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Experience commensurate with award of the CCT/CESR in Anaesthesia

Desirable Criteria

  • Broad experience in peri-operative medicine for high-risk patients
