Management Accountant

To provide high-quality financial management and reporting to support business growth and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with senior management.
Responsibilities- Assist the Finance Director in all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of financial tasks.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including monthly management accounts and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Manage the external audit process and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and suppliers.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly stocktake reporting and monitor daily stock levels to support raw material planning and purchasing.
- Close management of customer credit limits and support credit control function with key customer accounts.
- Authorise sales credit notes and provide ad-hoc support to the Finance Director as required.
- Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
- Experience working in a busy finance team and providing business partnering support.
- Demonstrated experience leading a small team and building excellent working relationships.
- Experience of producing monthly management accounts and the statutory accounts process.
- Ability to work with attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy, and being customer-focused with excellent time management skills.
- Prior exposure to dealing with people at all levels, including Directors.
- High level of experience using Microsoft packages, ideally including Power BI. Proficiency in accounting software.
Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
