Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Direction: Spearhead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive asset management strategy. Oversee a diverse portfolio of properties, ensuring they meet financial, social, and environmental benchmarks.
  • Asset Performance Assessment: Regularly assess the performance of property assets, applying a grading system to guide decisions regarding redevelopment, investment, or divestment.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Design and manage a thorough planned preventative maintenance program across all owned and leased properties, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Budget and Supplier Management: Develop and maintain preferred supplier lists for maintenance services, managing property budgets in collaboration with finance teams to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert guidance to senior leadership and ensuring property solutions meet organizational requirements.
  • Operational Management: Direct the Facilities Operator to guarantee seamless daily operations across the property portfolio, upholding high standards of support and efficiency.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Professional Credentials: MRICS or similar qualification.
  • Experience: Extensive background in estate and asset management within complex settings, with a proven ability to lead corporate initiatives and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Skills: Strong strategic and business planning skills, including experience with digital asset management systems.
  • Driving License: A full, clean driving license is necessary due to the travel requirements of the role.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in asset management within the health and social care sector.
  • Familiarity with managing properties that feature complex mechanical and electrical systems, particularly those with building management system controls.
