Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Third Engineer to join our team at Sentinel Marine Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe and efficient watch keeping practices are carried out in the engine control room and machinery spaces to the Chief Engineer's satisfaction.
  • Execute measures to prevent and/or reduce pollution to the environment.
  • Prepare a hand-over-report for the relieving Third Engineer and discuss details.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel, potable water, and lubricants remaining on board.
  • Ensure all jobs on the monthly maintenance list are carried out and recorded as directed.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be medically fit, competent, and qualified in accordance with international standards to S.T.C.W., or other pertinent regulations, including the Company's own requirements.

They will be fully conversant with the S.M.S. and have a strong understanding of engine room operations.

Able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
