Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant - PE Experienced

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant - PE Experienced to join a dynamic school in Ashington. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about physical education and committed to supporting the development of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering PE lessons alongside the teacher, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Support students during sports activities, promoting participation and teamwork.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to develop their skills and confidence in physical education.
  • Help manage equipment and prepare for lessons, maintaining a well-organized and efficient environment.
  • Encourage good behavior and teamwork in sports and physical activities, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to PE lessons, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Provide support to students with special educational needs in physical activities, adapting to their individual needs and abilities.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a school environment, preferably within physical education.
  • A passion for sports and physical education, with a strong commitment to supporting young people.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well in a team and with young people.
  • A relevant qualification, such as a Level 4 HLTA certificate, is desirable.
  • A valid enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
