As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant - PE Experienced, you will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging PE lessons, supporting students in their physical education journey. Whether you're assisting in sports sessions or helping students with additional needs, your role will be vital in creating a positive and active learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering PE lessons alongside the teacher, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Support students during sports activities, promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to develop their skills and confidence in physical education.
  • Help manage equipment and prepare for lessons, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery.
  • Encourage good behaviour and teamwork in sports and physical activities, promoting a positive school culture.
  • Assist with any administrative tasks related to PE lessons, ensuring accurate records and communication.
  • Provide support to students with special educational needs in physical activities, adapting to their individual needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a school environment, preferably within physical education, with a passion for sports and physical education.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work well in a team and with young people.
  • A relevant qualification, such as a Level 4 HLTA certificate, is desirable.
  • A valid enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
