Job Description

We are partnering with a global specialty insurer to develop a lead syndicate portfolio in Marine Liability. This is a key component of the business, with a broad appetite for global risks on both open market and binder basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the marine liability market and be able to develop this portfolio. Responsibilities will include underwriting, mentoring, auditing, and business strategy planning.

This role offers fantastic exposure and will suit an individual who enjoys the trading element of their current role. The successful candidate will be part of a reputable and established team, contributing to the growth and success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the Marine Liability portfolio
  • Underwrite global risks on both open market and binder basis
  • Mentor and train junior team members
  • Audit and review underwriting decisions
  • Contribute to business strategy planning and development

Requirements:

  • Experience in the marine liability market
  • Strong underwriting skills and knowledge
  • Ability to develop and manage a portfolio
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
