About the Role

We are seeking a volunteer to play a crucial part in our mission at Shannon Trust. As a Prison Programme Coordinator, you will work closely with our mentors, providing training and support to help them unlock the potential of reading.

Our team is dedicated to enhancing literacy and numeracy skills, and we need your expertise to make it happen. You will deliver high-quality training sessions for prison mentors, offer ongoing guidance and advice through regular mentor meetings, and receive comprehensive training consisting of four sessions and online portal access.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality training sessions for prison mentors
  • Offer ongoing guidance and advice through regular mentor meetings
Training and Development

You will receive comprehensive training, which includes four sessions and online portal access. We encourage volunteers to complete the training within one course to ensure they are fully prepared for their role.

Scheduled Training Dates:
  1. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am - 1pm (via Zoom)
  2. In-person session, London (dates TBD)

You will also have opportunities to attend ongoing training sessions and peer support meetings to enhance your skills and experience.
